Patients and Families Know … CASA Cares Joyce has lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. CASA Healthcare provides physical therapy in her home two times a week. Of her therapist, Joyce said, “I don’t walk well, but without her, I wouldn’t at all. I enjoy her company very much and have recommended CASA to other people. She is very caring, very loving and makes you feel like you’re important.” Sharon’s 92-year-old mother experienced three strokes within a year. “After her third stroke, she was paralyzed on her right side and her speech was affected,”

Sharon said. “Without the sincere interest, personal care and close relationship Rachelle built with my mother, I don’t think she would be walking and talking today. Her doctors were not sure she would ever achieve that again. Within two weeks of working with Rachelle, we put the wheelchair in the closet. Between Rachelle motivating my mother and giving her confidence—combined with my mother’s will to get better—it is a miracle she is walking again! When you see a person with that kind of compassion and inner stamina to help our older population, who have given so much to us, you recognize it. There is no doubt in my mind, she would be who I’d call if I needed help again.”
